Chiropractic Care
The purpose of a chiropractic treatment is to find areas
of your skeleton that are not moving properly and to restore normal movement.
When a correction happens along the spine, not only is your structure
aligned, but your functioning is improved
as well. This is because improper movement of your spine leads to irritation
of your nerve roots, which is like having static on a phone line. When
your spine is moving properly, your brain is best able to communicate
with your body, which leads to improved health in all areas of your body.
Chiropractors most frequently treat "musculo-skeletal" complaints.
For example: sore backs, tight muscles, sprains and strains, headaches,
and repetitive stress injuries like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or tendonitis.
Many people begin treatment for problems like these, but end up finding
relief from other conditions such as asthma, allergies, digestive disorders,
sleep disorders, and fatigue conditions because their nervous system becomes
"tuned-up."

Pregnancy Care and Newborn
Care
Pregnancy Care
Pregnancy is a natural and miraculous condition. And sometimes
it’s uncomfortable! As a chiropractor, I safely treat many of the
complaints that commonly occur during pregnancy, such as back pain, sciatica,
and carpal tunnel syndrome.
The Webster Technique, a pregnancy-specific form of chiropractic care,
can prevent breech position by increasing room for the baby and the uterus.
Using the Webster Technique, the pelvis is aligned and the ligaments relaxed
so that you and your baby have the most possible room. This encourages
a breech baby to shift to the optimum birth position and enhances the
comfort of an already properly positioned baby.

Post-Partum
Care
After delivery, the hormone relaxin is still making ligaments soft.
This increases your vulnerability to lower back and pelvic joint misalignment
and pain. The body usually heals itself after pregnancy but when treatment
is necessary, it is easily accomplished at this time because of your body's
increased pliability.
Baby Care
CranioSacral Therapy is a subtle, profound, and painless bodywork technique
that treats babies who have had traumatic births, colic, or who have difficulty
nursing. For more information, please see FAQs.

CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a very gentle
healing technique that involves placing my hands on the patient's body
with a very light touch. Over the course of an hour, I sense the subtle
rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) that permeates, via connective
tissue, every part of your body.
Most people find treatment to be deeply relaxing and sometimes they fall
asleep. While awake, you may feel as though your body is “talking”
to my hands, that parts of your body are moving under my touch, or perhaps
nothing at all.
The result of treatment is that your nervous system is freed of restrictions
and therefore able to perform at its optimum level. Shock from past physical
or emotional traumas may be “held” in the connective tissues
and when treated, your body may start to release residual tension. You
may even experience visions, feelings or memories as the connective tissues
release old patterns and stored energy. This natural reaction allows for
complete healing inside the nurturing and safe space of CST.
CST may
possibly be helpful for:
Migraine
Headaches
Chronic Neck and Back Pain
TMJ Syndrome
Motor-Coordination Impairments
Autism
Central Nervous System Disorders
Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
Learning Disabilities
Chronic Fatigue
Stress and Tension-Related Problems
Fibromyalgia and other Connective-Tissue Disorders
Neurovascular or Immune Disorders
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Post-Surgical Dysfunction |
